had way more love for the NBA in the 90’s and 00’s. I think the product was great in the early 2010’s. The last 6-7 years have not entertained me.

Same here. There is no mid-range game anymore. It's all 3 point shooting, and it makes the game boring IMO.

I can agree with this. Steph is a great player, and I admit it was really fun to watch GS when they were a novelty. But I really think he changed the game for the worse.

Teams realized it's more efficient if they focus primarily on 3-pointers. Most every guy on the roster is now expected to be able to shoot 3s now. At least half if not more of teams field goal attempts are all coming from 3.

I can respect the skill level it takes for teams to shoot at that level, but it has really made the game less entertaining as a whole. But idk if there's a way to go back to what the game was. It's too late for that now.

There is very little beauty in the game anymore.

It's crazy that one of the prettiest and ugliest styles of basketball existed in the 2000's and 2010's. You had the Popovich Spurs that were an absolute think of beauty and you had the Carmelo (and Kobe to a degree) iso ball style where your scorer got the ball and everyone else went and got out of the way and two guys went one on one.

The constant three point shooting is an uglier version of the game but it's a more efficient shot nowadays with how good these guys shoot so it at least makes sense, the one on one iso ball era was an absolute joke/ugly style of ball.

It’s a bunch of guys trying to throw a ball through a hoop. It was never meant to be this big in the first place. Rule changes over time have simply made it more that this is a simpleton’s game.
