When my mom got my dad to the Ancestry.com dna test so the Mormons could examine us for incest or serial killer connections, it came back with typical Italian and Greek dna. 1-3% African estimate, which I think most people get.
Also, I'm pretty sure the people making the "eggplant" comments from their True Romance history education, are completely ignorant of what North Africans look like now - let alone hundreds of years ago.
They never mention Moors occupying Spain for hundreds of years because that was never in a Quentin Tarantino script.

Tarantino added that to the script as sort of a joke. He knew an afrocentrist that cracked him up. He claimed the Moors were black among many other things of course, so he thought it would be funny. Fast forward and the internet has run with it. One has to wonder if Tarantino regrets it.
