Maybe, but honestly, because of this exact issue, people are not crossing over.
Perfect example is GF who is school teacher and lifelong democrat - hated hillary so voted trump. Refused to vote for him in 2020 and just said she would vote against biden for anyone but trump.
These people are not leaving because the guy is so obnoxious which also means more people go out to vote against him
