By now the supporters of Ron DeSantis must have chosen a respective place in the present political landscape.

I hope they don’t become like Mitt Romney.

I just wonder what they are thinking about the way forward for themselves as citizens and political proponents?

I want to be clear here. Do you think Desantis supporters are going to obstruct Trump in some way or not show up at the polls or something?

Those who supported Ron Desantis supported what we all say we want and that's a legit conservative in the White House. We had a shot at that and now it's over. I don't know any Desantis supporter that hasn't moved on.

Look, I read this board and post here. When Desantis comes up, it's typically not his supporters that mention him. The people who mention him are the ones who call his supporters "Ron bots" or whatever. It's people like you that can't let him go. It's almost as if a part of you knows, right there under the surface that we let a true conservative slip away for a man who will never see the inside of the White House again.

Donald Trump will lose this election and when he does, it won't be the "Ronbots" that sent him packing. It'll be the lie of the independent and moderate voter and the Suburban wine mom. I think you know this.

You have no way of knowing this.

Then you don’t:

You and I have different opinions of what is conservative. I don't consider attacking American businesses because they don't support Israel to be conservative. Desantis even created a list of all the subversive companies called the List of Scrutinized Companies that Boycott Israel. A list of people that disagree with you, how conservative of him.

He also signed a hate speech law, not very conservative to me. He was in Israel at the time too. I know, I know, it was for private property, so it didn't count. Increasing penalties based on speech may be considered a hate crime law to some, but it's not a "hate crime law-hate crime law."

There was also the time that he tried to send ammo to a foreign country engaged in a war. Engaging in foreign policy as a governor doesn't seem like a conservative thing to do. He lied about being asked for it by an Israeli official, though. Was that the conservative thing he did?

Desantis also wanted all bloggers who talked mean about him online to register with the state. I tend to think that is authoritarian, but I suppose it could be conservative if you look at it the right way.

Why is Desantis able to violate all of these conservative principles but still be considered a "true conservative?" At most, he should just be considered a conservative, an Israel First conservative.

This would be more believable if Ron didn't support a 6 week abortion ban. That kind of policy doesn't turn out independents and suburban wine moms as much as you would think. Trump may have mean words, but it's difficult to believe these people will flock to Desantis after 24/7 ads on social media and the MSM.
