I watched LSU a lot this year being out here in Arkansas. I blame the demise of the defense on the head coach Les Miles. These 2 co-coordinators were in limbo all year and with Miles making some of the decisions that he made it was like they had no real identity. It is unusual, to say the least, to have an SEC coordinator move to the MWC in virtually the same position but with the cluster that Miles has created, now is a good time to get out. I am guessing that Miles will be fired at the end of next year....

Miles isn't, Mallory is. Is this really that hard to understand?

Uh, no. Mallory was told to go find a job, very politely by Miles. Miles has handled this whole situation with class and professionalism, giving these guys the opportunity to go out and find other jobs before having to technically fire and/or demote them.

You're thought process proves everything is falling into place exactly as Miles planned.

If you think Mallory wasn't told to find a job elsewhere so that he didn't have to be fired, you're high.

Pretty obvious he was encouraged. Isn't New Mex where Hal Mummie ended up?

Naw. Mumme wasn't good enough to coach in the MWC. He coached the NMSU Aggies in the WAC.

Joe Lee Dunn is the DC for NMSU.

Okay, we don't have to worry about Mallory anymore. But now we need some other worry to replace the worry we don't have to worry about now. Damn.

You don't know what you're talking about. Dudes go from being Co-DC at a defending national champion SEC school to DC of a Mountain West team all the time. This is obviously a shrewd career move for Mallory which will get him out from under Miles' incompetence.
