quote:Slow down brother, Z was making crazy clutch defensive plays jumping passing lanes abd blocking shots in clutch moments last season pre injury. I don't know if one is better than another, just as long as he's on the floor and in shape he's a good defensive player.
Defense is definitely better than December 22 Zion, but the offense is not yet quite as good.
The good news is that means Zion still has another level that he can reach in the rest of the season.
Last season before he got hurt, Herb was Herb but Zion was on a stretch where he was the best defender on the floor for a few games in a row. Game against PHX, MIN, both against Philly all in that stretch. He had defensive plays late in each game though they didn't win all of them.

something definitely clicked, not sure what, but even in the game against sixers or raptors, can't remember, his effort stood out and not even on the offensive end. game 63 maybe.
That's the first time i noticed a change. When he plays both sides of the court, we have the opportunity to play small lineups for more shooting.
