Malnourished Shreveport Teen Hospitalized; Woman Arrested

Shreveport police responded Sunday to a local hospital after a the teenager, who weighed 53 pounds, was admitted.
The teen, described by police as mentally challenged, was in a state of "extreme deprivation," police said.

Some cool trivia, they still have the hangman’s gallows in the Caddo Parish courthouse. Until the 30s and 40s, executions were carried out at the Courthouse following sentencing and appeal.
