In the Under Armour game, the five-star signal caller will be playing alongside some of his future teammates as well as a few promising ones. And like always, Shepard has it all under control.
“It’s going to be fun playing with those guys,” Shepard explained. “I can’t wait to throw the ball to a receiver like Andre Debose. There is no doubt he will be getting some favortism from me. I want him to be on my team next year.

“I sat down and talked with coach Miles and we discussed what we will be doing on offense in the future. And before that I had talked to him after the Arkansas game. I reassured him that I was still going to LSU. I told him even if they had gone 0-10 on the season I would still be going to LSU.”

Interesting comments about reaffirming his commitment after Ark game. Also, interesting about players possibly leaving opening more spots in recruiting class.
Based on his comments Shep has LSU with Debose, Loston, Benton but no Randle. Wonder if he knows something more.
If I'm Randle I go to OU if Bradford comes back.
Good chance Stoops might give NFL a try - what more can he do at college level, he can always come back like Spurrier, Saban, etc. Stoops ego makes me think he wants to at least try the NFL.

That would be stupid as many have proved.

Continue to make $3 million per year as long as he likes with complete control over a dominant program that will stay that way as long as he is there.

Guy has a great attitude and will be a tremendous leader and player for LSU.

...I think Randle is going out-of-state. All this "silence" is because he doesn't want to hear the constant BS he'd be getting from the "locals" if he indicated any "leans" not P & G. Just MHO.

I agree...but anything can happen in the world of recruiting

we've got his last official, i like our chances as long as that doesn't change

Debose reminds me of a Steve Smith clone - he may be the best receiver in this class when all is said and done
Not to say I don't want Randle, I just see Randle going out of state.
The odd thing to me is why Randle would want to go to Alabama or Oklahoma with their QB situations. Bradford is likely to jet out of their once he wraps his head around being the #2 QB taken and how much money that equals.
Of all the available places to go I would have thought teams with promising young QBs would fill up his interest list.

Bradford is going to be the number one QB taken if he does not lay an egg for the NCG. How can you pass up the Guarantee money this year. OU will have QB issues. Randle will go where RR wants to go nobody knows anything but himself.

I have noticed that Shep doesn't mention RR in his interviews...
that is interesting
Does Shep contact RR? It could be he sort gives him room because he is so quiet

was watching mcshay interview bradford and he asked him something to the nature of 'i have you rated as the number one qb prospect and number one overall prospect in next years draft. what's your chances of leaving a year early?'
i don't think we have to worry about bradford returning

Wishful thinking, IMO.
It could also mean he knows RR wants to go OOS.
However, I don't think there's any value in speculating either way.
Better to just ask RS to his face if he knows what's up with RR when he gets on campus in a few weeks
(ETA: or, perhaps we should leave RR to his own devices to make one of the most important decisions of his life, and chill out with all the pressure)

If the NFL comes down and starts talk of Capping Rookies, we'll see A LOT of people bolting early this year..

What a complete and total class act. Can't wait to see him in the purple and gold.

Could Shep possibly be LSU's greatest recruit ever? Not just in terms of ability ,but intelegence, character, loyalty.
I am on the Russel Shepard bandwagon.
