I had it done about 11 years ago (around 46 y/o). Corrected to 20/20. I do not regret it one bit. I was close to being legally blind prior to.
Yes, I do wear glasses now for reading and driving at night.

Due to the surgery I am unable to wear contracts because the laser left part of my lens very thin.

If you get to do it then do it! Just take your time and choose the right doctor and right procedure for you … it’s the one thing you do NOT want to skimp on.

My mother got RK surgery in the mid 90's. In 2016 one of her eyes stated leaking from the cuts made during the surgery. She had to have a cornea transplant in that eye. It still hasn't fully recovered. Other than that everything was great.

That said I want LASIK for myself in at least my right eye. They no longer do the RK type surgery because the above was a common problem.
