Anecdotally, what I've found is that yes, redfish numbers are pretty good. I caught ten just last weekend.
Not just 10 but 10 that were all less than 22 inches. That's a GREAT sign.
But that's just anecdotal. I have not seen or read any data from any official accredited source that would indicate redfish are better off than at any point since gill nets. Certainly no data to indicate redfish limits should be doubled

I have been going down for years, with family or friends that have camps. Last few years it has been spotty at best.
