Emotional thinking masquerading as logical thinking, gotta think he's still on board with that.
What's funny is it suffers from the same shallow analysis his recent work does. Anyone using medical resources for any reason lowers the amount of resources that can brought to bear on other medical issues. Inane tautology pronounced with unearned superiority.

You're ignoring the acute nature of the medical issues and the presumed mediation of the medical issues at hand.
If we had a more efficient/effective version of the flu vaccine, the same argument would apply each flu season. We don't, so pandemics and hypotheticals are the only way to typically have the discussion.

Don't you?
So you think if I go to the hospital with covid, and they run out of beds for somebody else and that person dies, I am responsible?

What about those that chose to get vaxd and now are taking up hospital beds from purebloods with the litany of complications from their compromised immune systems?
Are they the villains now?

Not just that, if you could work at a hospital and choose not to, you are responsible. If you could pay for someone's medical care and choose not to, you are responsible. If you break your arm and through the course of getting that addressed someone dies, you are responsible for that.
It's quite a pronouncement.
It's quite a pronouncement.

That doesn't apply to the discussion presuming an effective and safe vaccine.
You're mixing up a thought experiment with a policy argument.
Also, that is not happening

Again, all ignore the acute issues presented, so they have no place in the discussion. Just like the "muh obesity" stuff.
Now, at some point in the future, diabetes may cause these acute resource issues, and then, you can have the same discussion because it will be comparable.

So all the illegals spreading measels around should be held accountable?
Posted on 3/15/24 at 10:53 am to SlowFlowPro
Not at all. If there is an emergent issue and doctors that could be deployed in emergency rooms choose not to be employed there, they are responsible. Should have moved jobs and geographic locations to render aid if they don't want to be murderers.

Uh, yeah. Not really part of even this digression, but where have I said otherwise?

This wouldn't be reasonable, clearly. The cost portion of the cost-benefit analysis would be way off.
You're trying really hard and whiffing badly.

I have it on good authority he routinely takes antibiotics when he has a virus. Antibiotic resistant pathogens and the resulting deaths are squarely his responsibility.

I actually actively avoid antibiotics unless absolutely necessary, for that exact reason

So you don't believe in limitless MUH personal responsibility and were engaging in disingenuous discourse for the purpose of being contradictory. That's precisely what I wanted to demonstrate. QED.
