I'd like to think they wouldn't advise burning every year after establishment. Natural fire cycles in a given area didn't even happen yearly, or anywhere close.

I haven’t read it in a while but my recollection is that annual burning is recommended to get the planting established. I’m guessing annual after that isn’t necessary
