re: Open Mic Baton Rouge area

Phil Brady’s blues jam is on Thursdays, Brickyard Wednesday, Teddy’s in Baker/Zachary is on Tuesdays, and Fat Catz is Sundays. Just note, an open mic =\= blues jam. Two completely different things. A blues jam is random musicians collaborating to form an impromptu full band usually playing improvised covers. An open mic is usually solo or duo acoustic acts (or occasionally spoken word poetry) with an emphasis on original songs.

There’s a Friday night open mic at La divina cafe near Acadian @ Perkins

Not sure if they still do it, but pretty sure there’s an open mic on Wednesdays at Le Chien brewery in Denham Springs.
