Where Apple really beats Android is on customer service. You can chat with someone online or make a genius appointment. The message boards are filled with horror stories of customer service at Google, Samsung, and Oneplus.
People know if an Apple product breaks and they have AppleCare, they are good. The others treat you like crap or treat customer service as an afterthought.

But after more than a decade of using Android I have never had a phone break (that wasn't my own doing and my own fixing). It's a conscious decision to not get raped on purchase nor on a useless insurance policy, and I will make that same decision every time.
