The NCAA “record book” shouldn’t have a single women’s track and field record within because none of the “women’s” records come close to the men’s records. For example, all 23 men who ran in the semifinals of the NCAA outdoor championships 100m event obliterated the NCAA record women’s time in that same event. After all, men’s and women’s track and field is the same sport. And 100m is 100m…regardless of who is running
Clark is a tremendous player and worthy of recognition. But disingenuously spinning her accomplishments as if women’s and men’s basketball aren’t COMPLETELY different levels of competition is absurd.
Joe Bauman hit 72 HR’s in a season win the “Longhorn League” (minor league baseball). Funny, I didn’t recall hearing his name during Bond’s chase. Baseball is baseball after all.
