The question is, how far off is the cliff?

There is no cliff. There is simply a descent down an inflationary slope. The US debt will never suffer default. They will just print money to pay it off, as they have been doing.

Since the dollar has lost a minimum of 18% of its value in three years then in 12 years it will be without value and there is no way to print enough dollars to pay of 33 trillion in debt is there? Are you really a college student? Perhaps a trade school for running a Roto Rooter truck would better serve you.

I'm not so sure. At our debt level there will be fewer and fewer buyers. We are only a failed auction or two away from fiscal dominance. Fiscal dominance would be a cliff rather than a slope decent.
