The first one of these or the first one from the 80's?

The one from the 80's flopped pretty hard at the box office. Honestly, I've always found it hard to get through in one sitting. Once they start whisper-thinking everything, I just tune it out. I think the only reason it still gets talked about is because it's part of the David Lynch catalog and because it has so many iconic actors in it (and Sting).

These new ones follow a modern trend in film. They assault the senses of the viewer in lieu of any real potency. Plus, they keep trying to shove Chalamet up our asses, and it's just not going to happen, not organically anyway.
