So why does it matter if Nance is in then? If hes giving you nothing on defense and offense there is no reason to play him. Meanwhile maybe JV isn’t the best switcher on defense but hes giving you great rebounding and inside scoring. To me its just obvious JV is the better option.

Someone has to soak up backup minutes at the 5. Even if you increase Val’s minutes, that presents other problems, minutes still need to be allocated. Pels options realistically are Nance, Zion, or Zeller.
