Golf digest did an article of where you should play from IF you want to “play” the course like the “pros.”

I’m at 5142 according to the article.
I get the math on this, but I surely don't need to be playing from 5,900 yard tees. I'm a 9 HC, my "Average" drive is probably in the 250 range, max out about 275. I play the one ups at my course which is about 6,500. I wouldn't play anything longer than that, but I never feel like I have anything longer than a 9i if I hit a decent drive on a par 4. I wouldn't want to be any shorter.
There are 2 or 3 holes that are longer and have 6/7 iron in if a good drive is hit, but they are the higher HC holes.

I will probably need to move up again pretty soon.
I can play ok up to 6200 or so, but I look for a tee around 6000.
It’s enough for me.
I don’t drive it long and I don’t hit an 8 iron 170.
