Sad part for me though is I hadn’t unlocked much of the gun’s abilities yet. Only had basic slugs, rockets, and the charge beam.
Sameee. I even ran out of slugs when the boss had a sliver of health left. Not sure how I found some…guess some randomly dropped.
I just made it to the oasis. Fishing will be taking up the majority of my time as I need the outfit.

I’m just about through Matrix 11. Making sure I pick up everything.

I liked the matrix layout. To build upon what Carson said…it’s a very rewarding type of linear layout and doesn’t hinder the game in any way.
I made sure to upgrade my scan so that it easier to make sure I collect all the goodies. I have obtained just about every outfit possible at this point in the game but have only managed one pair of glasses and like two sets or earrings. Feel like I must be missing some of these other aesthetic items.

I’m pretty sure I’ve gotten nearly every outfit I can pick up. I haven’t purchased all of them yet from the stores though.
There are probably areas in the Wasteland I missed or some spots on Eidos 7 I just didn’t explore right when I started though. I’m at 18 or 19 of the cans at this point. Fully upgraded the scanner.
Once I get through Matrix 11, I’ll probably go do a run through Eidos 7 to make sure I get everything.

If anyone decides to get into fishing….be sure to prioritize buying the fishing data enhancements from the vendor at the oasis.
Wasted quite a bit of time realizing I would never catch bigger fish unless I bough the enhancements.
Plus there is an accessibility setting that makes fishing easier if you find yourself struggling. I had to do this. Somehow spamming buttons intensely and rapidly caused my shoulder to become inflamed to a very uncomfortable level the next morning haha.
Game is still incredible. May actually be the first game I ever platinum. Doing all the things because I don’t want it to end.

Took down the juggernaut in attempt 2.

That fight at the end of Matrix 11 was great.

Think it was my favorite fight so far.
I’m about start exploring the great desert. Knocked out all the fishing stuff last night. Probably took a combined 4-5 hours over the last two night to complete it.
Started looking for cans till like 1am. It is hard to put down.

I hadn’t activated the solar tower yet and I ran into a battle event that took all of my healing. Had to run all the way back to Xion.
After going back to Eidos 7 and finishing the side quests there, it is apparent the difficulty spike is big in the desert. The health bars are so much larger.
Going to attack the fishing stuff then continue exploring.

Yes! The area is a step up in difficulty for sure. I have died more here vs any of the bosses. It’s welcoming in a way. Those fricking droids with the gun for a head piss me off the most.

The great desert is so damn expansive.
52 memory sticks is going to be a challenge.

Just fired this up for the first time. Gorgeous game

I didn't bother since they're not attached to trophies.

Yes it is and that damn city is a bitch to navigate when trying to collect goodies. But I welcomed the challenge.
Thinking of attempting platinum and that would require all the memory sticks I assume. I maybe have to go back to some places before I get locked out.
ETA: never mind…just saw Carson’s post

Just FYI for trophy hunters. 2 points of no return: After Abyss Levoire, and after Spire4. Get everything done that you need up until these points.
Also very important - make sure you do a cloud save backup and turn off auto sync prior to the final boss. Will allow you to get 2 endings in one go (the third ending has to be done on a NG/NG+ run where you dont fill Lily's meter)
You technically don't have to do it if you beat the final boss on your first try, but it's not worth the risk
Basically, the game autosaves before you make a final choice. The choice dictates your final boss. 2 things can happen:
1) If you beat the final boss on your first try (unlikely), the autosave stays put prior to you making the choice. This allows you to hit continue, make the opposite choice, then beat the other final boss for the 2nd ending.
2) If you die to the final boss, the game autosaves at the nearest camp after you've made your decision, so you are effectively locked into 1 boss/ending for that playthrough
This is why it's important to have the cloud backup save

Thanks for the heads up as Abyss Levoire is my next main quest.

Knock out all Xion collectibles and quests

Game was decent. 7/10 but could have done with more bosses
Posted on 5/27/24 at 10:45 pm to Carson123987
I’ve gotten pretty much all collectibles. I missed one on Eidos 9. I also have one can left.
Pretty far up in the Spire. I want to 100% this game.
