Longtime TD lurker, signed up just to reply to this post. Swing for the good seats behind the plate. Been to many games at Wrigley, done the bleachers once, and it wasn't for me. It's been awhile, this was before the 2015 renovation of the bleachers, but it was a sunny August day, wind blowing in off the lake, it was nice and comfortable in the main seats but we were absolutely cooking in the bleachers...not to mention, they're bleachers, so the back was a little sore. Just make sure to stay in front of the support poles and you'll be fine (anything in the single digits, double digits, or 100s will be in front of the poles, which begin at about row 6/7 in the 200s). The lower part of the upper deck is actually the best bang for your buck at Wrigley, IMO, but if you can swing club box seats, go for it. Also, wise choice with the day game.
Thanks for this info, going in April to watch the Astros at Wrigley in the mid-week. Two night games and a day game. Got good seats behind the plate for game 1, will look into the lower part of upper deck for the 2nd game, and the third day is a day game and we will have to leave early to catch flight so probably going bleachers then. Assuming the Wrigleyville area will be pretty calm with it being a Tuesday-Thursday series but are the bars open kinda early? Would think a fun afternoon since it is my first time would be head over and walk around the neighborhood and barhop pre-game on Tuesday.

everything will be open by 11AM, some as early as 8 or 9 for day games. Weather can be very dicey in April, I was going to say, if you haven't already purchased tickets, the secondary market should be buyer friendly for a midweek series in April, but the Astros haven't played at Wrigley in awhile. Use CTA if you can, red line stops just beyond the right field gate.
