clogging up the courts with misdemeanors, especially for first time offenders is a different story
There are many violent misdemeanors and people charged with a felony who make deals to plead to misdemeanors. What about them?

I’m talking about misdemeanors for first time offenders, the people charged with felonies who plead down to a misdemeanor is there job to decide, not mine. I do know that in Louisiana people make money off of locking people up, that’s a fact. I also know that Washington Parish plays second fiddle to St. Tammany Parish. I don’t know much about either one of the candidates outside of the junk mail I get almost every day. Letting someone plead down VS going after first time offenders doesn’t sit right with me, so I’m not sure which one should get my vote. I do know justice isn’t equal for everyone and depending on what part of the state you live in, and who you know definitely makes a difference.
