How do you give that up before you absolutely have to when it won’t negatively impact your earning power to stay?

I mostly agree with you--but I have thought about it and now kinda see why leaving isn't a bad idea.

Angel just might be tired of college. All the attention she gets is great and she certainly has branded herself to be worthy of it. But for her, maybe it has come to the point where it is time for a new challenge? I seriously doubt she can go anywhere in BR and be left alone. Honestly, hasn't she done just about all she can do here? Records, rings, NIL out the arse, etc. What else is left?

I think they are both gone. Angel for the reasons above and her social media star power has eclipsed her playing basketball. She may play in the WNBA or not. Doesn’t matter. She’ll make millions either way.

With HVL it’s a numbers game. Whether we win the NC or not, whether HVL wants to come back or not, Kim WILL get an all-conference or all-American-level playmaking point guard in the portal. She’s had enough of that position lacking and wants another Khayla Pointer or Alexis Morris at quarterback.

So … for the two off-guards? Who do you sit?

HVL? MK Williams? Flau’jae Johnson?

Obviously NONE of those players sit. It’s a numbers game. HVL will be moving on. She’s not returning to be a rotational player.

It really depends on what Reese wants....

She will make her cash regardless of what she does but its a matter of lifestyle and what she would prefer. If she stays at LSU for another year, she remains at a high status quo in the college landscape, playing in front of sell out crowds, still get lots of exposure every week. If she works on her game in depth this offseason she would play herself into a higher draft pick (easily top 3) the following year when the WNBA is expanding and has more roster spots.

If she wants things to quiet down now, the WNBA is the best bet. I'm sure she could make it but no one outside of Clark is playing much on a WNBA roster next season and the vast majority of the players drafted will get cut (the WNBA draft is a sham). So if Reese is cool mostly sitting on the bench, Along with that, the pay, benefits, TV exposure and facilities in the WNBA is terrible. Thats why most these kids are sticking around in college as long as they can.
