So, in summary, when you were 4yo you were confused that *gasp* there were folks out there that 1)supported their team, and 2)did not support yours? And you are pretty much still that in that state of mind. Got it.

As a four year old who grew up in BR and lived in a house plastered with purple and gold it was just surprising to me that there was another school in LA with fan support. LSU was damn near everything to my nuclear family, so in my mind no other school really existed or mattered.

I just think it’s a bit weird to hate LSU. Jealousy perhaps? I don’t hate any in state school. I’d say I like ULL the least but there’s a huge difference between that at genuinely hating, and that’s my point.

I love ULM (spent my first year of undergrad there, it’s a long story) but I don’t hate ULL or Tech or any other in state program.. and that’s my point.

TLDR- nothing wrong with liking your local in state school but imo it’s weird to hate LSU bc of it

I was kind of on your side before this stupid take. I have a story similar to this guy from when I grew up in Lafayette, ages 5-11. You remind me of the same grown men that would talk shite about LSU/USL to a kid, with real vitriol. Thing is, even at the age of eight, I knew more about my team and its status than the fricktard USL grownups who took their frustration out on random kids.

Never saw any of you do that to a grown up Tiger fan. By the way, the first few interactions about the name change issue that I can remember were USL “fans” being extremely bitter in the mid eighties. So frick right off with the name issue
