I've been trying organic gardening for last couple years and kind of mixed results. It seems so far I've gotten best results from synthetic fertilizer but I've still gotten plenty from organic. I guess I'm not fertilizing frequently enough?

I plant heirloom tomatoes so I try to stay away from super high nitrogen vs phosphorus and potassium due to growth height. Obviously still should be plenty of nutrients for development but more P and K help fruit set/ development and roots.

I've used espoma tomato 3-4-6 but after a few weeks I feel like I'm damaging plants digging around them (not at bas of plant) to apply dry fertilizer. And I have a new puppy and he would go ape shite since it has chicken poop in it so it's out. So between puppy and damaging roots I think liquid might be the ticket.

I've used big arse tomatoes and it has good ingredient list but it's high as pteradactyl titties and higher in N compared to P and K than I like. Anyway I was curious as to what if any y'all use and had success with as well as frequency of application

While not completely organic (they consider it a hybrid blend), it's pretty darn close. It's not full of potassium salt like miracle gro. I had great results with it the past couple of years.

Yea I'm trying to avoid salt build up as the garden isn't very big soil feel like over the years yields would get worse and worse so I thought try organic and see.

hippie juice if you want homemade (Google it). It’s a fermented liquid from potatoes and mycorrhizae

If you’d want store bought, fox farms

If you compost look into making compost tea. As a warning, though, make sure your composting method is up to par and it is good, finished compost. If it doesn't hit and hold a high enough temp in the composting process it won't kill off the bad bacteria and you will just be applying it back into your garden.

This is a handy book to have, whether you just started composting, or have been doing it for years:

ETA: When I gardened a lot I used to keep a large amount of compost cooking. I'd side dress with finished compost and spray compost tea a few times a year.
