It’s great and all and only 20 minutes from my house, but what is Amazon trying to accomplish? They built a 5 story building in Shreveport across from my office that isn’t being used at the moment and currently building another building in west Shreveport. Clarence and Baton Rouge has facilities now. Now a building in Boyce. They’re popping up like Dollar Generals. It seems like building buildings too close together could be harmful in the long run. Walmart learned this mistake by building their Distribution Centers too close to one another.

Different facilities serve different purposes. See my post above but the last mile facilities are for normal items people order frequently and they are trying to achieve one-day or same-day deliveries on those items.
