I do see the appeal, it just doesn't appeal to me. If the people that listen to country radio hear a song over and over they begin to connect with it.

That's because the goofy local / pop country stations or even on Sirius, Spotify aren't gonna feed you IMO what are young, real country music artists such as Coulter Wall and Charlie Crockett (big Louisiana influence). Are you Jelly Roll fans gonna see them if they come to town? Here's a couple of songs by young, modern classic-styled country music artists:
