John Tenta is like a unicorn in professional wrestling. No substance abuse, a functional nuclear family and an absolute gentleman to all wrestling fans.

That is a cultural thing in Japan because tattoos mean Yakuza over there.
His upward movement would have been limited anyway because you didn’t have a non-native reach Yokozuna rank until the late 90s IIRC.
