This is purely anecdotal, but I feel like I’m hearing more stories of young people getting late stage colon cancer.
I also know that health insurance companies can be strict about covering colonoscopies if you are under 40

I’m pretty sure I saw recently cancer in people under 40 is the highest it’s ever been.

My doctor had me have a colonoscopy about 6-7 years ago due to my mom having colon cancer when she was 35. Due to me being in my early 30’s insurance didn’t want to cover it so my doctor had to figure out a way to get the insurance to cover it.
Doctor said when I turn 40 it’s time for another one. I turn 40 in a few weeks. I hate the prep the day before.
Hate hearing about someone so young dying from colon cancer. RIP

Have a Dr. order one of those Colo-Guard tests for you to send in. If it comes back with a positive result I doubt any insurance company would not pay for a colonoscopy in that instance.
The problem with the Colo-Guard testing is there is always a chance of false positive or negative results, so they are not 100% accurate. The only accurate testing is the colonoscopy.
