your perspective is essentially:
pubs should just follow along and give the dems what they want because otherwise they would be giving dems what they want.
whats the point in even holding 1 house in the legislative branch if all youre going to do is greenlight the opposition? pubs actually have a solid negotiating spot here if willing to hold out.

The GOP should get as much as they can from their incredibly weak bargaining position today and try to use the DEMs hanging themselves to strengthen their position in November.
What is your plan? Marginalizing the GOP, and giving the DEMs talking points for November, and giving the DEMs what they want? How is that a better plan?
