Awesome to see that area possibly draw in a Buccee’s. It’s a nice gas station for clean restrooms, and the food is nice as an option when traveling the highway.
However, just one mile North of the I-10/49 intersection is a Billy’s inside an Exxon station. I’m probably grabbing road food 9 times out of 10 from that place vs a Buccee’s in that same region.
More businesses and more options drawing in additional tax revenues is always a good thing, though.

Its because there isn't a Buc-ee's. Lets see what happens where there is one.

I was at that one about 6 weeks ago.
I was stunned at how expensive the gas was and how small the store is.
They also didn't have Coke products. WTF? I had to go next door to Exxon to get a diet coke.
Yes, the boudin balls and cracklins I got were amazing. The store itself was tiny, and there was nothing in there my kids would eat. And the bathroom was just a step above useable.
As another poster said, I'm kind of surprised Billy's or the like hasn't built some kind of mega station out there. They would make an absolute killing if they did. It may be too late now.
