Not being a smartass, but do you want him as an inside linebacker or a coverage or pass rusher? I feel like you’ve made points for all of them in this thread

This is true and I actually liked Perkins in the role and thought he did well in it. And it does fit his body type and athleticism.

That said, I trust Baker to get more out of Perkins and be creative in how he uses him. I have a feeling we will also see him play Edge and “Star” at different times and blitz from different locations, even if most of his snaps are in the middle. That will make it harder for OCs to take him out of a play just by running longer routes on him when he’s in coverage like last year.
