Me and your wife are same. I’d dominate the swim for women and men, then I’d eat their dust on the bike and run. Still would wind up in the top 10% or so. I enjoyed it because it was the only thing that came close to competitive swimming. But then I did one mid summer in LA heat….ended up being my last one. It was disgustingly hard in the elements and then I didn’t like them so much anymore. Plus I didn’t have the time or money to dedicate to that sport.
