Johnson did provide and update on redshirt freshman right-handed pitcher Jaden Noot, who is recovering from Tommy John surgery. Noot is already throwing bullpens, and Johnson figures he will be ready to pitch for the Tigers at some point this season. He said in January that the hope was Noot could return to the field by late March or early April.
