I use 1Password as well. Easy to set up shared vaults for accounts I want my wife to have access to for paying bills and junk and I can use for multi-factor tokens and keeping recovery codes and all kinds of stuff.

Might be a little over the top, but I've also started using it to randomly generate answers to password reset questions that are easily discoverable like mother's maiden name and what have you. So instead of her maiden name, it's just another randomly generated password.

And yes, if 1Password ever gets popped or tanks, I'm ultra boned. I have accepted this risk.

Typical tech thread.

Try Lastpass and Bitwarden, maybe OnePass. Your killer feature will be auto-fill of passwords. Both of the first two can't do it, for some reason, in some browsers, on some sites.

As long as you're comfortable clicking on the browser bar to cut and paste a password, it doesn't much matter. Lastpass did a pretty decent investigation into breaches here which you can read.

Whatever randomly generates passwords, and can sync them between mobile and desktop, that you like to use, use that.

On another subject, Corndog, and I'm about to get salty... You've heard of non-repudiation, right? Please explain to me why she can't pay the electric bill from her account, and not have to log into your account as you to do it (it's the simplest example I could come up with for the
general audience.)

Yet, you're going to the point of rando generation of answers, but you're sharing passwords? WTF? My mother's maiden name on Amazon is probably ZyrtecBoard. I get it. But you're sharing passwords?
