Looks like great weather for it. Y’all have fun!
Thanks for the Navy Cove tour back at Christmas. We really enjoyed it and the oysters. It was a bit colder that day.

Just left this. Would not recommend. Too many people for the way they are serving food. There’s one line that is supposedly VIP. But no one knows it’s only for VIP. People are finding out now they’ve been waiting 45 minutes in the wrong line. Then there’s another line for everyone else that’s a mile long. You can get one “plate” of food once you finally reach the tent. Advertised as all you can eat for $50 per person, but you’d prob have to wait an hour or more each time you wanted a plate.

That stinks to hear.
With some of the newer or smaller festivals, this kind of stuff happens a lot when you have a beautiful weather weekend and tons of people show up.

For sure. The idea and concept is great. Execution was dreadful. We left 45 minutes in. But people are still posting on different Facebook pages saying it’s a 3 hour wait to get any oysters. The event is only 4 hours total — 11 to 3.

Update: the organizers have refunded my ticket cost after I inquired. They were very apologetic and said they have made drastic changes to todays events. Can’t ask for more than that. Hopefully they get it figured out so it can be a great annual event to attend.

Went much smoother today with lines. We had plenty food, just bad execution on getting food out. We shucked over 36k oysters and fried another 6k in the last 2 days.
