So what would happen if all major colleges as a whole decided they weren’t going to play football (or any sport)? All athletes would remain on scholarship, and business would go as normal, except no games would be played

Kind of like a pro team lockout… it’s not like colleges and universities need their football teams to function

Because no one would agree to that. People in positions of power make too much money off of football. Players need to play in order to make it to the NFL. Who would benefit from not playing games?

Btw the LSU athletic department gives millions of dollars to the university every year.
