It's a 3 person competition for me between Abi, Will (Georgia Baw), and McKenna.

I just met roman Collins grandfather. Really nice guy. He was supposed to go see him in Hollywood but had minor medical problem that prevented him going.
Very cool. Roman did well.

Been a couple of weeks since the last bump so I thought I would update.
The last 8 are not surprising but Emmy beating out Kayko was a surprise to me. I like her style of music but I thought Kayko would be more popular with the masses. I like Mia as well but she didn't perform well. She stepped out of her lane and didn't get the support.

I’m rooting for Will and Jack but think the final pair will consist of Tristan and one of the women, who are all underwhelming to me.

Who are we expecting the winners to be. I watched until the Hawaii performances. I got bored because truth be told, nobody was really winning me over . There's some talented singers for sure, but there was nobody who I could just see myself wanting to go listen to their music post idol.

I could see myself going to see Will and Meaghan.

McKenna continues to be a front runner.
I thought she was basically a lock after her first performance. Her story is great, she’s got such a good voice, and she’s absolutely stunning. I thought it was beyond a wrap.
But her last couple performances have left me a little underwhelmed. I think with some fine-tuning she’ll eventually be a real star, but her voice has been all over the place lately. Needs to tighten it up.

I agree with this, although it was really just her last performance that I think put her in danger of going home last night.
Really sucked that her and KB were the bottom two because I think KB has grown a lot under the coaching and had some great performances the past few weeks.
I am glad they saved McKenna though. I just think her voice is more unique, although she isn’t going to be able to match up with Jack or Abi, who are clearly the two best singers imo. She’s still awesome and America loves her story and will have a career in music for sure.
Jack is an absolute star. What he did last night singing both Lionel Ritchie and Willie Nelson songs to perfection was incredible. I don’t think there’s any doubt he has a long career ahead of him.

Abi has been one of the best pure vocalists all season, but I admit I wasn’t her biggest fan just because I found her voice pretty generic without much uniqueness, even though she hits all the notes perfectly. But her performance of Evanescence last night might have been one of the best performances in Idol history. A real show stopping moment that might win the whole thing for her.
Bring Me To Life
Would love to see those three at the end but as sometimes happens the country vote is dominating, unfortunately.
Will has gotten better but still isn’t anywhere near the vocalist of those three. And as likable as Tristan is I feel like he’s actually gotten worse and his age and lack of experience is really showing against these other much more talented and versatile musicians.
But the two of them in the finals with Loretta Lynn’s granddaughter Emmy wouldn’t surprise me because this often turns into a show that the country vote decides, and this seems to be one of those years.
Hopefully Jack doing a Willie song wins him support from the Nashville crowd to get him to the end because he’d have the most impressive finale performances to watch imo.

Sucks that McKenna didn’t make it to the finale, but at least we get to see Jack and Abbi battle it out while Will stands there and automatically gets a third of the vote despite being completely out of his league against these two.
At least the other three country ones didn’t keep one of these two from getting in.
Have to assume Jack is the favorite because he’s leaned into the country vibe the past few weeks, and that vote is clearly driving this season.

Abi is your American Idol. And Will is runner-up. They got it 100% right. And Luke and Lionel both called it at her audition that she was gonna win.
It was obvious from.her audition that Abi was just it. She is special. Congratulations. Beautiful girl w/God given talent.

Yeah I’m still a big fan of Jack but he really blew it on finale night imo.
He needed the country vote to get to the finale, but on finale night reaches a much bigger audience because of all of the musical guests. Hell Bon Jovi was the mentor. Had he gone back to his rock roots I think he would have done a lot better, but singing All My Exes Live in Texas right after a huge segment about his love for his wife was just weird and probably didnt endear him to the newer audience. Throw in that awful frilled shirt and even the Nashville vote probably felt offended
And Abi crushed her performances again. Definitely deserved to win. From her initial audition where she won the platinum ticket to the finale she was awesome.
Pretty good season overall. Will be interesting to see who replaces Katy. I really liked this panel and they were great together, so she will definitely be missed.
