Even having read the tweet before watching the video, I wasn’t prepared for the visceral reaction I had to the clip. Because she says it like believing in “certain unalienable rights” is some lunatic fringe idea. Her tone, her mannerisms, her phrasing… It’s like she’s sounding the alarm and raising awareness about some little understood but inherently dangerous belief. Rights from *God*?! Who has *ever* heard of such madness?!
