Had this happen to a beloved Great Dane.
Took her for a crap ton of expensive tests at our regular vet and they found nothing.
Finally took her to a veterinary surgical hospital where they found horrific liver cancer and put her down that day.
This does NOT mean your dog has cancer, but if your regular vet finds nothing, take her to a real veterinary specialty hospital if you can afford to.

Yup. A specialist or an internal medicine vet. Not all are certified as one.
