I’ve noticed in Houston and Katy now some are sitting in “trappy” spots but they have the lights on. Reb and blues on but not flashing?

Is that a new law here? County? State? Enough cops here have gotten blasted though I think while sitting in a spot. Some dumb (or drunk) bastard driving along hits them full speed.

With Waze and a decent radar detector, I don't think you have anything to fear. It's legal, at least in LA, so suck it up. It's going to happen. Texas passed a law a while ago that a municipality couldn't drop a speed limit by more than a certain amount (no 70 to 40, etc.) but LA can't risk pissing off Winnfield deputies I guess.

There are so many speed boys (or whatever they call the assholes with Chargers, Challengers, and exhausts) and bikers on I-10. Every, single, f-ing time, I would drive from Spring Branch to Katy after dark, there were multiple people on the road with no lights on. Never saw one pulled over. I am a Top Gear sort of driver, and when you blow by me, you're a bit above the speed limit.
