I have a 223wylde heavy barrel 1/8 twist that shoots heavy’s good. I have killed several deer with 64gr fusions.
I wanted a lil more arse and lighter weight rifle so I got a 6.8 spc because at the time it and the 6.5 Grendel were about the closest to a “deer rifle” caliber in a ar15 frame lower and the 6.8 was more shelf available for ammo.
Based on ammo trends lately and some of the newer lightweight ar10 lowers I would probably go to ar-10 in 6.5creedmore.
I think I need to build another gun!!
