This is exactly right. We're in the Wild West of NIL and constant transfers as allowed by the courts. But, have the courts also said that the member institutions of the NCAA have no ability to regulate themselves and create any kind of self-governing rules when it comes to this? Are the NCAA, SEC, B10, etc. lawyers so inept that they cannot develop an argument that allows for NIL and transfer, but with regulations to calm it down a little?

If the only way to have college sports is for it to be this mess, is this the only multi-billion dollar business in America that can exist without the major players being able to agree upon self-regulation and have it stand up in court?
