I'm not sure exactly what you're implying here, but there's a big difference between promising a position to Jacob Berry or Tommy White than there is Michael Braswell. I'm sure Jay promised to give him the 1st shot to win the SS job or maybe even that he would start the season there. But there's no way he promised him the SS job all season no matter what. Somebody yesterday said he could hit .150 and still be the starting SS all year. And that just ain't true. He'll have a long leash, but he's gonna have to hit to keep that job.

No way Braswell stays at SS hitting .150, Jay Johnson just isn’t wired like that.
