I had a 21 year old son pass after losing his fight with cancer. We had an open casket. That last look was tough.
It's been 2 years since he passed and I can no longer see his face from that day without really trying to, but I can still feel what he felt like when I put my hand on his chest that day. It felt like a hard cardboard box. It's amazing what your brain can remember.
