I know this is probably stupid, but why are we assuming that Deuce is done? He hasn't even been in the NFL 10 years. I know he has a lot of knee issues, but he had those while at Ole Miss and when he is in the game he still produces. There are athletes that play well into later life. Brett Favre is 39 and Julio Franco played baseball well into his 50's and yes I realize that baseball is not the same. Still point being he could be productive for years.

because the Saints owe him over 7 million buckaroos next season and SP doesn't use him. What's the point of keeping him?

you do realize that the average career for an NFL running back is something like 6-7 years right? They take a pounding week in and week out, and with 2 bad knees, i just don't see Deuce wearing the black and gold next year. Its for his own good. He won't be able to walk by the time he's 50. Why do you think Jim Brown, Barry Sanders and Tiki Barber retired in their prime?
