There are many other things that go into the taping the seams vs ice and water. The felt is laid differently. Drip edge nailed differently. Decking must be renailed. Lots and lots and lots of pictures must be taken. Evaluator must be aware of the process and oversee things.

Yeah I’ve read a good bit on the “extras” on the fortified standard but I missed the fact there are 3 options on the deck sealing. Sounds like the Pelican std pkg for fortified is taped seams and 2x synthetic felt (going from memory at the moment)
I had thought it was 100% water/ice for all fortified standards but reading more that was just my misconception.
Apparently Pelican was the first in the state to offer it. I suspect they know what they’re doing. Unfortunately it seems somewhat new to FB. I’m more concerned with THEM getting what they need to be happy. It saves me enough to be a no brained. Just trying not to screw it up
