We are consistently a bottom state in everything. So instead of just looking at what the majority of gulf states did, we just say frick it we know better. Even though all we know is the bottom. And I say this about generally everything with louisiana, not just this single issue.

I don't fish offshore, but everything I have read about this (mainly here [this place is a great resource]) shows this is stupid as Hell. Considering Louisiana claims it is the "Sportsmans Paradise," it sure has regs in place thay say otherwise.
