Did you do ROTC in high school or college?
Not my words but: The caseload can vary depending on factors like deployment status and location, but generally includes a mix of criminal law, administrative law, and military justice cases. While you may have some input on your subject matter preferences, assignments are often based on the needs of the Marine Corps. Overall, many JAG officers find the experience fulfilling due to the unique blend of legal practice and military service. It’s important to research and speak with current or former JAG officers to get a better understanding of what to expect and if it aligns with your career goals.
