Excuse the title, but why is it that we can’t get Baker and Cook to show up for a full game? When Baker is on, Cook is off and vice versa. If they would both show up together, we might have something.

Or maybe the problem is they take points from each other. The past two games Baker has owned the first half only to disappear in the second.

Are teams really making that good of adjustments on Baker? In the second half of both games, he’s only taken a few shots. Seems a little odd, but I have only been able to check out the box scores. And they don’t tell the whole story

No matter how many points he can score, at some point you have to play defense. That’s why Dean played most of the second half. All cook cares about is getting his points. Defense optional.

I think CMM is trying to get Cook to commit to playing defense and cut down on the hero ball, but sitting him more...and it's had uneven results.

Baker you pick your poison - the last 4 games he has been resurgent on offense...his 4 best offensive games of the year honestly. We had seen nothing of the sort in the first 6 SEC games honestly.

But he is such a liability on defense unfortunately, if you watch the game it's all too apparent, and he can't grab and hold a rebound...man - even if you are scoring 20 points a game that's still really hard to overcome...I mean I have to think that's why he sat much of the second half, and the defense was the most effective it's been in a long time...yeah, I know we went zone, but I think CMM probably knows his defensive issues are not related to whether it's zone or man.

Not enough room in the kitchen for a baker and a cook

When Cook is on the floor, ball movement stops. Baker’s game is pop and shoot, which requires ball movement. Until Cook grasps the concept of team ball, this will always be the case.

Hard for Baker to score in second half when McMahon has him sitting on the bench. He only played 20 minutes when he was our best scorer. Cook is just hopeless. His game does not fit with what we need from a point guard. Point of case is when he fumbled the ball at the end of the game and had it stolen from him. He was supposed to be the great ball handler who could dribble and pass at an elite level.
